Never Forgotten: A look at the life, legacy and incredible stories of those who served.
During the history of Vancouver’s municipal police force, sixteen officers and eight police service dogs have been killed in the line of duty. Our newest exhibit, Never Forgotten, explores the commemoration of the fallen from the perspectives of three important groups of people: their fellow officers, their families and the public.
Combining these points of view with carefully selected artefacts, the exhibit exemplifies how the memories of these individuals have transcended time, keeping important legacies alive now and into the future.
Never Forgotten also highlights the work of The Vancouver Police Museum Association’s first Visiting Curator: Nancy Lee. Nancy comes from a background in museum interpretation and program development. Through the VPMA’s Guest Curator Program, Nancy has been able to diversify and develop new skills in exhibit curation.
This exhibit was also made possible with the generous support of the Vancouver Police Foundation.
